Our Story

Behind the Scenes is a not-for-profit youth sports organization established in 2021 with a noble mission to promote martial arts in the Inland Northwest. Led by its founder and Board of Director's member, Professor Adam Smith, the organization was first conceived with the Spokane Submission Challenge tournament series in 2019 as a way to give his students and local students the opportunity to gain tournament experience closer to home with less expense.
